Nika Kabiri is Director of Strategic Insights at Avvo (Avvo.com), where she works alongside law and technology experts to make legal solutions more accessible to the public. A sociologist by training, Nika conducts research as well as leverages learnings from political science, economics, psychology, and sociology to understand what people go through as they navigate personal challenges that intersect with the law. Nika received her PhD in Sociology at the University of Washington, and earned her B.A. in Political Science at Rice University; she also has a JD from the University of Texas School of Law.As Director of Strategic Insights, Nika's priority is to align Avvo's business problems with research goals deriving "ah-ha" insights that are actionable and strategy-oriented. Before coming to Avvo, Nika was Managing Director of Ipsos Marketing. She has over eight years of experience leading research projects for B2B and B2C clients in the retail, tech, CPG, and non-profit sectors.
Nika brings to Avvo a unique combination of market research expertise and rigorous academic training in the social sciences. Her rich understanding of social, psychological, and economic behavior, along with her extensive experience in consumer research, allows her to see connections between data and strategy in unique ways.
Nika received her PhD and Masters in Sociology at the University of Washington. She earned her B.A. in Political Science at Rice University. She also has a JD from the University of Texas School of Law.
